BEWARE OF WASHINGTON. NO JOKE
THE NATIONALS ARE PLAYING WITH TREMENDOUS FIRE
While the division is full of worthy competators, fierece opponents and rivals in red, this weekend should prove its not the Marlins the Mets should worry about this year in the NL East, and the shutout sweep of the Phillies proved New York may have a huge upper hand against their rivals. But, for the Mets, a team with the third best home record in all of baseball, the Nationals are the team to beat. The Mets are 3-5 against the Nats, having lost all serieses played against them this year. Mets pitchers have not been able to figure out Washington's lineup over the last couple years, pitching worse against D.C than any other team in the majors. And this year that lineup is at its best. Their bullpen is also undoubtedly better, their starting rotation is about to add the unstoppable sensation, Stephen Strasburg. And manager Jim Rigglemen is playing with spunk and pushing his team towards wins. Nobody would argue he manages better than Jerry Manuel. And nobody can argue the Nats are nothing to worry about after defeating the National League Central's best team right now, the Cincinatti Reds. This team wants to win, and their not going anywhere.
