Shortstop Jose Reyes rejoined the New York Mets Friday and is ready to return to the lineup on Saturday against the Washington Nationals. "Unless he gets hit by a car or something," manager Jerry Manuel said prior to Friday's game. "(He'll be) leading off tomorrow, no doubt about it. We need that kind of spark." Reyes, sidelined much of last season with hamstring problems, missed most of spring training due to a hyperactive thyroid gland. (USA Today)
